The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Coming To Next Generation with Ray Tracing and Free Upgrade for Previous Owners

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is confirmed to be available for purchase on the next-generation systems with Ray Tracing enabled and a free upgrade for all previous owners.

CD Projekt Red Released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt back in 2015. It was undoubtedly one of their best-created games. It brought them the recognition of a top-class developer studio. The Game features an amazing storyline, breathtaking scenery and much more. At the time of its release people considered it a visual masterpiece. The graphics still hold up nicely even after 5 years.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Announced for Next-Gen

Recently CD Projekt Red announced on Twitter that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be coming to the next-generation systems. It will be available for purchase on PC, PS5, and XBOX Series X. The upgrade to the next generation will also be free for all previous owners. Meaning that if you previously bought the game then you will get a free upgrade. The tweet said,

“The Witcher 3 is coming to the next generation! A visually and technically enhanced version of the game will be available for purchase for PC and next-gen consoles & as a free update for owners of the game on PC, @Xbox One and @PlayStation 4.”

The game will feature upgraded graphics and optimized loading time in the next-generation systems. The PC version will get Ray Tracing. Meaning that we will get upgraded visuals. We will get realistic reflections, ambient shadows, global illumination, and other benefits of using an RTX system. The console version will also get a visual upgrade but not quite to the same level as RTX. The game will also feature reduced loading time utilizing the SSD’s available in next-generation systems.
