With BLAST Premier Spring finals underway, NIP has been seen struggling right off the get-go losing their first match horribly to complexity. The reason for this is poor management and decision-making from the organization.
After signing Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz at the end of April of this month, things were looking really good for the Swedish team. In Flashpoint Season 3, they had an almost perfect start with this new roster defeating Heroic, G2 in a rematch, and went for the finals. They lost to mousesports in the grand finals but it was a hard-fought victory with a score of 1-2.
The team was looking in good shape and they had already adapted quite well with dev1ce and was only going to get better. But for some reason, the organization decided to remove Ztr from the roster and brought in LNZ from the academy team. With this questionable decision, they participated in IEM Summer where they were knocked right out of the group stages.
In the ongoing BLAST Premier Spring Finals, NIP lost their first match in a 0-2 tragic defeat versus Complexity gaming. The reason behind this is believed to be the mismanagement of the team, the poor handling of the organization, and especially the questionable decision-making behind the unnecessary roster changes.
Tonight NIP face off against Evil Geniuses in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals in the lower brackets to stay afloat in the tournament.
