Obsidian’s sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds getting a sequel with The Outer Worlds 2. The game will also be an Xbox exclusive.
Obsidian tried their own take on a Fallout-style RPG with The Outer Worlds. Sharing similar gameplay, style. After all, they created the best Fallout game with New Vegas. Although everyone had huge expectations for the game especially for the game being made by the legendary RPG maestros Obsidian. The game did not meet the exact hype for its short story and lacking gameplay.

Nevertheless, the game was still an amazing experience with great story, exploration, and humor. After all, the game was not a big-budget AAA game. The original Outer Worlds felt like it needed more and truly it deserves more. Consequently, the universe of Outer Worlds is getting bigger, and as Xbox announced The Outer Worlds 2. A trailer was shown at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Although the trailer also satirically stated that no gameplay was ready to be shown yet. So we have to wait for a little more to see some more sci-fi action. The trailer shows the narrator narrating the… trailer, literally.
Furthermore, Obsidian was acquired by Xbox soon after The Outer Worlds released. Hence be sure that the sequel will be bigger and better than before with all the resources from Xbox Game Studios. Consequently, this also means that The Outer Worlds 2 will be an Xbox exclusive. For the whole Xbox showcase, we’ve seen great RPGs coming to Xbox as exclusives. If done right the Xbox Series X|S will be a favorite for the definitive RPG experience.
The Outer Worlds 2 will come exclusively to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Cloud, in addition to Xbox Game Pass at launch.
