After Knives, AWP skins are the second most expensive skins in CS:GO. Here we’ll be taking a look at the most expensive ones that exist in 2022.
In CS:GO, the prices of skins can range from a few cents to several thousands of dollars. The AWP is no exception to these as, after the main two rifles, the AWP is the next most used weapon in the game. The AWP is a highly cherished weapon by the community and that is why AWP skins tend to cost more than all pistol, SMG, and even rifle skins. (The only exception is the Contraband StatTrack M4A4 Howl).
A skin’s price is based on a variety of factors like Skin Wear (Float), what case it is from, is the skin still attainable in the game or not, StatTrack or not, whether it is of a unique pattern, or whether it has a unique sticker. But to keep things simple, we will not be taking into account the last 3 factors. You can see a list of The Most Expensive CS:GO Skins where we make a list of the world’s most expensive CS:GO items taking the unique floats, patterns, and stickers into account.
The skins here will be ranked by the price of the Factory’s new versions of these skins. The Steam Market price as of the day of publishing has been used as a reference. These prices vary with time but the price hierarchy of the AWP skins should be about the same. Note that higher tier items near the end will not have a steam market price as they are not sold there whatsoever. Instead, third-party prices are mentioned along with the reference site used where you can purchase that skin in real cash for that amount. The currency used is USD.
Along with that we also will mention the recommended Wear condition to purchase, to get the most value out of your money. The skin will still be eyecatching to look at but still cost somewhat lower. So without further ado, here are the top 15 most expensive AWP skins in CS:GO, without Stattrack, and without taking into account any patterns and stickers.
Top 15 Most Expensive AWP Skins in CS:GO
15. AWP | Electric Hive
The AWP | Electric Hive is 15th on the list and it is from the eSports 2013 Winter case which is now discontinued. This is why this skin is expensive with the FN version costing $51. In some cases, the Hive pattern on this skin does affect the prices but not to a huge degree. This skin gets scratched pretty easily with wear so the MW version for $31 is our recommended purchase.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $51
- Minimal Wear: $31
- Field Tested: $26
- Well worn: $28
- Battle Scarred: N/A
14. AWP | Hyperbeast FN $77
Next up is the AWP | Hyperbeast. It is from the Falchion case and an FN version costs around $77. As the skin float value increases, you can see some paint chipping off from the magazine, rail, and stock of the gun but the body paint remains unscathed up to FT. This is why we will recommend the FT version for $29 for the best value purchase of this skin.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $77
- Minimal Wear: $45
- Field Tested: $29
- Well worn: $24
- Battle Scarred: $18
13. AWP | Asiimov
We have the AWP | Asiimov in 13th place. Unfortunately, this skin is not available in FN or even MW and the best tier you can buy is the FT for $92. This skin in WW condition isn’t also that bad but at BS it starts getting really ugly so we will recommend the WW for $71 for value.
Steam prices
- Factory New: N/A
- Minimal Wear: N/A
- Field Tested: $92
- Well worn: $71
- Battle Scarred: $55
12. AWP | Wildfire
The AWP | Wildfire is comparatively a newer rifle in the game and it has been well-received by the community. Called the “Budget Awp Howl”, the FN version of this skin costs around $119. This skin starts to get scratched pretty badly around the stock at FT, but it might not be a problem to some players who want to save a few bucks. We will recommend an MW for $73 or a low-float FT for $50 for those looking for value.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $119
- Minimal Wear: $73
- Field Tested: $50
- Well worn: $46
- Battle Scarred: $29
11. AWP | Graphite
The AWP | Graphite was a part of Operation Bravo and the case itself costs around $42 nowadays. The FN version of this skin costs $170 and the float range allows it to only exist up to MW. We will recommend the MW for $160 saving you a few bucks which look practically the same as FN.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $170
- Minimal Wear: $161
- Field Tested: N/A
- Well worn: N/A
- Battle Scarred: N/A
10. AWP | Containment Breach
Starting off the top 10 we have the AWP | Containment Breach which was added during Operation Shattered Web. The FN version costs exceptionally higher than all the other qualities at $271. Thankfully, this skin is affected very little by wear until the lower float WWs. We will still recommend purchasing the FT one for $48 for maximum value for money.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $274
- Minimal Wear: $91
- Field Tested: $48
- Well worn: $41
- Battle Scarred: $29
9. AWP | BOOM
The AWP | BOOM was added to the game in the eSports 2013 Case which has now been removed from the game. This skin only exists up to FT and the FN version costs around $287. It does start to get scratches at FT so we recommend getting the MW for $55 for max value.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $287
- Minimal Wear: $55
- Field Tested: $43
- Well worn: N/A
- Battle Scarred: N/A
8. AWP | Lightning Strike
The AWP | Lightning strike was added to the game with the first-ever CSGO Weapon case and the case itself costs $48 on steam. This gun exists up to MW and the FN version costs $380. The MW version is surprisingly rarer and thus costs more so we will recommend getting the FN version.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $380
- Minimal Wear: $400
- Field Tested: N/A
- Well worn: N/A
- Battle Scarred: N/A
7. AWP | Oni-Taji
The AWP | Oni-Taji was added with the Operation Hydra case and the FN version costs about $407. This skin does start to get scratched from FT but if you manage to get a low-float FT for around $203, this will definitely be the back for your buck.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $407
- Minimal Wear: $275
- Field Tested: $203
- Well worn: $178
- Battle Scarred: $134
6. AWP | Silk Tiger
The AWP | Silk Tiger was added to the game last year with the Operation Broken Fang. Since it is a drop-only skin, it is very rare thus expensive with the FN version costing around $513. This skin definitely does start to scratch up at FT and we would recommend the MW. But because of the huge price difference from MW to FT, we will suggest scouring the market for a low-float FT for just over $269.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $513
- Minimal Wear: $415
- Field Tested: $269
- Well worn: $272
- Battle Scarred: $213
5. AWP | Fade
Another drop-only skin added to the game with Operation Broken Fang is the AWP | Fade. This skin exists only up to MW and the FN version costs $1600. The MW version is rarer and costs more so we will suggest sticking to the FN variant.
Steam prices
- Factory New: $1600
- Minimal Wear: $1700
- Field Tested: N/A
- Well worn: N/A
- Battle Scarred: N/A
4. AWP | The Prince
The AWP | The Prince skin isn’t even available in the Steam market and you have to purchase this skin through third-party sites. The prices used in this article are from trustworthy sites so you can purchase skins from there without worry.
The FN version of this skin costs $5400. Thankfully, it is a “Brightness skin” meaning the texture only gets slightly darker with increasing float and doesn’t get scratched up. This is why a BS one for $2150 is still the best value choice.

- Factory New : $5400 (Csgomarket)
- Minimal Wear: $3500 (Bitskins)
- Field Tested: $2500 (Csgomarket)

But that still doesn’t mean it’s cheap with the price of the FN version coming at around $6550. 1. AWP | Dragon Lore
The AWP | Dragon Lore. The crown jewel of all the AWP skins. This has been the most expensive skin for 7 years since its release and the stickered/souvenir variant prices go up to 6 digits.
The FN version of this skin costs $17,200 making it the most expensive regular skin in the game. The base version of the skin is available through very expensive trade-up contracts and the souvenir version is available from opening Cobblestone drops.
This skin tends to get scratched pretty easily with more wear so if you want to own a nice-looking one, we recommend at least going for the MW for just over $10,000.
Third-Party prices
- Factory New: $17200 (CSMoney)
- Minimal Wear: $10115 (Csgomarket)

This skin can only be obtained from Souvenir Cobblestone Drops which themselves cost $800-1000. The skin is assorted with gold foil stickers from the tournament they dropped from and the match representing the tournament, teams, and a highlight player.
You can get yourself an FN version for $56,100. We won’t be including any recommendations for this skin as the prices and values heavily rely on what stickers you get on this drop and their positions. If you get a skin with an AWPers signature on the scope, you can safely go to your local dealership to pick out a nice new car because those skins are worth over a hundred thousand dollars.
Third-Party prices
- Factory New: $56,100 (CSMoney)
- Minimal Wear: $39,200 (CSMoney)
- Field Tested: $23,300 (CSMoney)
- Well worn: $18,700 (CSMoney)
