The Canceled Fallout 2: Van Buren Gets A Fallout: New Vegas Mod

Remember when the much-anticipated Fallout 2 got canceled, and all our hearts got broken? Well, we can now play that game thanks to a mod released on PC. Black Isle was working on the game but unfortunately decided to give up on it in 2003. However, modders have made this for all the fans that wanted to play the game back in the day.

The game got codenamed Van Buren, and rumors had given an idea to fans what the game was supposed to be. These rumors have also led to some modders making a mod out of them. Fallout 2: Van Buren is set in 2253 in the great Midwest Commonwealth over four states.

The mod creator added “Everything from the base game will be included in this remake. We will stay faithful to the original Van Buren story as much as possible, and in the future, we plan to add in a large number of customized features. As of now, the project is still a [work in progress].”

Although some parts of Fallout 2 got recycled in Fallout: New Vegas, you can still check out the mod if you want a complete experience.
