Team Empire Benches Karzheka; Always joins in as his replacement

Team Empire, Russian gaming organization, announced that Eugene “karzheka” Petrishin will be replaced by Dmitry “Always” Mitrahovich in their Rainbow Six Siege roster.

Team Empire became the winner of Six Major Raleigh 2019, Pro League Season 9, and three Russian Major League seasons. But Empire struggled to keep this momentum and had a series of disappointing results in Pro league and Invitational 2020 which led them to replace one of the oldest players in their current roster.

Some time ago, karzheka asked me to consider the option of transferring him to other teams. In view of the recent results, it was morally difficult for him to continue playing in our team, he wanted to change the situation and try himself in a team with European players,” said Esports director Alexander “StrangeR” Solomonov.

Always, former forZe player, has proved himself to be an excellent player and managed to take down Team Empire 2-0 in the Russian Major League, which must have brought him into Empire’s attention.

Heres what Dmitry “Always” Mitrahovich had to say about this change:

I still don’t fully understand how this happened, but I’m glad that I have the opportunity to play in such a strong roster under the Team Empire tag“.

Team Empire Rainbow Six Siege roster:

  •  Artur “ShepparD” Ipatov
  •  Danil “JoyStiCK” Gabov
  •  Dmitry “Scyther” Semenov
  •  Danila “dan” Dontsov
  •  Dmitry “Always” Mitrahovich
  •  Oleg “RayzerGM” Kuchin (coach)
  •  Oleg “Jak2oO” Porotnikov (manager)
  •  Eugene “karzheka” Petrishin (substitute)

The new roster of Team Empire will play against IziDream in the EU Open Clash Charity tournament tonight, so keep an eye out for that.
