According to two European listings, Sonic Colors HD remaster is coming to modern consoles: PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
Sonic Colors originally released in 2010, was a Wii and DS exclusive. The game follows the usual Sonic storyline, of defeating Eggman. But the two different styles of gameplay included offered a fresh change in the Sonic series. The game switched from side-scrolling platforming like the OG Sonic games to third-person. Hence, always keep a change of pace and style. Hence, the game managed to amass positive reception.

Now, a listing of Sonic Colors shows that the Sonic Colors remaster releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch. As a result, giving the often let-down Sonic fans new excitement and hype. The last critically acclaimed Sonic title was, Sonic Mania. A fanmade project that got big and recognized by Sega. Apart from that, the beloved franchise has seen no new games for a long time. Hence, it is due time that we get a new game from the blue hedgehog.
This finding was posted by Twitter user, Cybrid101. He says that he found an HD remaster of Sonic Colors listed to release for modern consoles on an online European retail website. Furthermore, he claims to have found this info on IKSample’s website. A German studio that claims to be working on the German translation for the new remaster. Moreover, a French retailer also posted a listing for Sonic Colors HD remaster releasing for PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. Both of these sources are now removed.
The French retailer ( SoGamely) listed a Sonic Colors Ultimate Limited Edition, with pre-order. The game is listed as 35 Euros and a release date of December 31, 2021. This is most likely a placeholder.
Nevertheless, we should take this with grains of salt. Especially for the price and release date. But the listing is most likely true. And with E3 coming soon, we will probably see them announced there.
