Sentinels sweep Version1 3-0 and win the VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals

Tonight Sentinles face off against Version1 for the Grand Finals of the VCT North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals is the main event after the regional challengers series tournaments. It is a Double Elimination bracket tournament where each match is best-of-3 and the Grand finals are best-of-5.

Sentinels have stayed strong and held a dominating position in the NA Valorant scene. They were the Champions of VCT NA Stage 1 Masters as well as VCT NA Stage 2 Challengers 2. Version1 has been the underdogs, only getting up to the semifinals in VCT NA Stage 2 Challengers 1. But that has changed as they climbed the brackets in Stage 2 Challenger finals and now face Sentinels in the Grand finals.

Both teams are qualified for Masters Iceland being the tournament finalists of this event.

The first map was Bind where the first half was competitive but Sentinels put up a strong defense in the second half and won the map. The next map was Haven where Sentinels stayed ahead in the first half. The second half was competitive but Sentinels took the maps they needed and secured the map. Icebox was the third map where the teams were neck and neck in the first half. But in the second half Sentinels showed an aggressive attack taking the map and the series.

Overall, TenZ playing for Sentinels who was on loan from Cloud9 stood out the most with a +17 K/D and 202.9 ADR.
