Battlefield 6 Full Edition is set to release sometime during Holiday 2021.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson had already confirmed Battlefield 6 coming on PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 in an earnings call. This gives us a release window of October to December of this year. He said:
“The next Battlefield is set to launch in holiday 2021, and we are excited to share a lot more about the game in the spring”
According to NeoGAF insider “The Gamerlorian”, Xbox Game Pass owners will be able to play the full game instead of the EA trial version. Although nothing has been officially announced yet, it is expected that the announcement will be made in Xbox’s “What’s next for gaming” event.

However, GamesBeat editor Jeff Grubb hinted that the game could be released sometime in May of 2021. This falls in line with The Gamerlorian’s insider news of the game being available to Game Pass owners sometime during the Fall.
What to expect?
Although not officially confirmed by EA, Battlefield 6 will most likely contain a battle pass system and some free-to-play features. EA was seen conducting a player survey for Battlefield with queries regarding – Battle Pass, Platoon / Clan System, F2P element, Evolving maps, and Weapon blueprints. The game’s location this time is expected to be in Kazakhstan.
The tech trailer that was shown in EA Play 2020 also revealed some work-in-progress footage that showed much more realistic facial animation than Battlefield’s previous titles.
