Rumor: Sekiro might be coming to Xbox Game Pass

XboxEra podcast co-host hinted Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might be coming to Xbox Game Pass soon.

Xbox Insider Speshal Ed, who previously predicted Final Fantasy 7 Remake successfully, has now Tweeted to hold off purchasing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This has created room for speculation that the game might be coming on Xbox Game Pass.

However, he did not specify Xbox Game Pass specifically as his statement was open-ended. He could have also meant that the game is coming on PS+. Three days ago, Speshal Ed mentioned on his discord server that multiple Ubisoft games are also coming on Xbox Game Pass. Although his Tweet definitely felt like a tease.

Released in 2019, Sekiro: Shadows Dies Twice has been a massive hit among players. It received a score of 9/10 from Steam. Created by the same devs of Dark Souls, Demon Souls, and Bloodborne, Sekiro is also known to have an intense combat mechanism.

The action-adventure game is a tale of revenge of a Shinobi against a samurai clan responsible for the abduction of his lord. You, the player, take on the role of the Wolf to see through his mission. Gameplay-wise, the game is often compared to the Souls franchise.

Xbox has always focused on its Game Pass model to make it as attractive as possible to both current and next-gen console owners. While Ubisoft games coming to Xbox still stand as a rumor, Bethesda games have already been confirmed to be coming on Xbox. Therefore it is reasonable to believe a GOTY winner like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is also on its way to Xbox Game Pass.
