A new “box” progression system is currently in the works at Riot Games, according to a reliable data miner.
Riot’s latest tactical 5v5 shooter called VALORANT has been the constant hype of the online gaming community since its release back in 2020. The game is essentially free-to-play but contains microtransaction features for monetization.
Riot releases weapons and in-game cosmetics every couple of weeks. On account of the Lunar New Year, Riot is set to release their new cosmetics bundle announced as the “TIGRIS” skin bundle.

Before the “TIGRIS” bundle, Riot has already released a Lunar celebration Event Pass. Unlike VALORANT’s main battle-pass, players don’t have to purchase these occasional mini battle-passes to unlock all the rewards.
Box progression system in VALORANT
Originally leaked back in 2021, a reward system was in the works, reportedly called “Match Boxes”. The concept was that players would receive different reward “boxes” for daily log-ins and match victories. But the latest leak has revealed what exactly we might be expecting from these boxes along with their visuals.
A new “Act Points System” is allegedly going to be introduced where these “boxes” will reward players with “Points”. In turn, these points are said to increase players’ account levels.
Well, that’s all the information we have about this future reward system till now. But if any new information is revealed, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
