Redfall has four different characters for you to choose from and play with. Since each of them has different unique abilities, some are better than others. Here is every hero in Redfall ranked.
Redfall is the newest first-person shooter developed by Arkane Studios. Even though all the previous games from the studio have focused mainly on stealth, Redfall is taking a slightly different approach. It is going to be a four-player vampire shooter that you can either play single or multiplayer.
Redfall features four different characters, with each having their own unique abilities. In an ideal situation, the game wants four players, each playing one of the four characters. But in practice, that is not always possible. Especially if you want to play through the game alone, knowing which character will perform best is necessary.

All Heroes in Redfall Ranked
Redfall has four different characters, each having three distinct abilities. You may want to play one over the other because of the look or what they provide in their kit. But here, we will go through each of the characters, ranking them based on their ability kit.
4. Jacob Boyer
Jacob’s kit focuses on recon and stealth. However, Redfall is not a game that can be played stealthily. It is this non-synergistic kit of this character that makes him the worst one to play with. He has a raven that can recon the area to mark enemies. This ability can be good in a team. But while playing solo, it is not that useful.
His clock skill let him hide and sneak around. But stealth doesn’t get you anywhere in this game. And finally, the ultimate gives him a high-damage sniper. It is a good weapon but not worth sacrificing the other two abilities since there are far better options. And you can use normal sniper on any character anyway.
3. Remedios “Remi” De La Rosa
Remi is a healer in Redfall. Her abilities let her distract enemies and heal herself and her teammates. The healer does not have a necessary role in the game by any means. But it is a handy ability to have. So she is an alright character for you to play through the game with. Her first skill is called C4 charge. Using this, she throws a C4 that can stick to any surface or enemies. Then you can remotely detonate the bomb.
Remi’s 2nd skill is called Siren. Using this, she can send her companion Birbon in a direction to draw enemies. And the final ability is Mobilize which creates a circle and sends out an initial burst of healing before healing over time. So she is a perfectly viable character, but you don’t need a healing-focused character to beat the game. Thus she is positioned at no. 3.
2. Layla Ellison
Depending on what type of gameplay you like, Layla could be your no. 1 character. She has everything a character can have. Her first skill lets her travel the map more freely than the other characters, 2nd skill can block attacks to send shockwaves back, and her third skill spawns her ex-vampire boyfriend to fight for her.
If you like her design and like her first skill called Lift, you will enjoy playing with her. Traversal skill can change the game by giving you access to higher ground. So she is one of the best characters in Redfall.
1. Devinder “Dev” Crousley
All of Dev’s skills are extremely useful in Redfall. His first skill is Arc Javelin. Using this skill, he throws a javelin that can stick to an enemy or surface. The javelin creates lightning afterward to stun nearby enemies. He also has a traversal ability called Translocate. Upon pressing the ability button, he throws the translocator, and pressing it again will make him teleport to it.
Dev’s final ability is called Blacklight. It is an extreme UV light. It can turn vampires into stone and can even stun human-type enemies if they get too close to it. As you can see, his ability is mostly focused on utility and damage. Since you will be fighting a lot of vampires in this game, having good utility can make all the difference.
