Redfall has four different characters for the player to choose from. Each of these characters has a skill tree to make a specialized build. Here are some of the best builds in Redfall.
Redfall is Arkane’s take on the whole looter shooter genre. Previously their games have usually had a focus on stealth. But with Redfall, they are expanding their genre to shooter without focusing on stealth mechanics. There is a character that can do stealth in Redfall, but the game doesn’t have any focus on it.
Each of the four characters in Redfall has their own skill tree. The skill tree is pretty vast as well. So it is not hard to imagine different builds become possible with a single character. However, for the sake of variety, we will not focus on a single type of build in this guide.
Here we have shown two different builds. One is for Jacob, and the other is for Layla. Since Jacob is mainly a stealth-focused character, his build will be more like a engage and retreat type. On the other hand, Layla’s build is going to be all about damage.

Best Jacob Build
Jacob has a raven he can use for scout and a clock that can make him invisible. His ult is a high-damage sniper rifle. So he can use it to take out enemies from afar. His abilities make him good for a long-range damage dealer. Even if he gets into a fight at close range, with this build, you can retreat when he takes too much damage.
The best weapon loadout for Jacob consists of a sniper, a shotgun, and a weapon that can finish off from afar, like the stake launcher. That way, he can still snipe even if his abilities are on cooldown. Then finish them off using the other weapon. If he is jumped in a tight space, the shotgun will do some work to ensure his safety.

Best Layla Build
Layla’s skill consists of a jump pad that lets you access high ground more easily and an umbrella that can absorb projectile and release the energy as a shock wave. Her ult calls her ex-vampire boyfriend to fight for her. Because of her skills, she can be built as a support or DPS. In this build, we will focus on the DPS build for her.
For this build, you will need high-damage weapons like the Cass and Lockjaw. You can also use ambition to finish off enemies if you don’t want to deal with finishing them one by one. The weapons are pretty generic high dps weapons in this build. But the skills her tree offers make this way more fun.
Here are the skills you should get to boost your umbrella and ex-boyfriend damage:
