Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 1.002 Update Adds 120Hz Display Mode

The new update for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart brings a new frame rate boosted mode and bug fixes.

It has been almost three weeks since Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was released. It is one of the only games which takes full advantage of the dual sense controllers. Moreover, the game provides PS5 owners a brand new experience with its unique gameplay. In the following update today, Insomniac Games have released that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will support 120 Hz displays.

Moreover, we have made a list of the features and bug fixes coming along with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart update 1.002 below. In fact, this update will now add a new mode that will support 120 Hz displays. Apart from the new features, new bug fixes, such as endless falling, game freezes, and invincible enemies, are also coming.

Insomniac has decided to add stickers in the photo mode so that players can create the perfect picture. Adding on, we are also getting different background colors and much more in update 1.002. In fact, you can check out the complete list of fixes coming below.

New Features in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Added new stickers
  • Added the ability to disable the Phantom Dash VFX
  • Added the ability to disable the Phantom Dash VFX in Photo Mode
  • Added the ability to toggle armor on or off while in Photo Mode
  • Added color backgrounds to Photo Mode
  • Added 120 Hz Display Mode in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which reduces input latency when using a compatible display. In this mode, the frame rate target for the Fidelity graphics mode increases to 40 frames per second
  • Added “Skip Cutscenes” as a bindable option for the D-pad
  • Added the option to disable the level up message and slowdown

General Fixes & Polish in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Addressed an issue where a Glitch challenge could be played twice resulting in players being unable to complete one later
  • Addressed an issue where white cubes could appear in the opening cinematic
  • Addressed an issue where POIs could disappear.
  • Addressed an issue where characters could appear blurry in Photo Mode when the camera is very close.
  • Addressed an issue where the game could freeze during the grind rail tutorial.
  • Addressed an issue where killing Grunthors with Trudi would not count towards the Extinction Event Trophy
  • Addressed an issue where some Grunthors would not count towards the Extinction Event Trophy
  • Addressed an issue where the weapon wheel UI could become stuck on the screen
  • Addressed an issue where deployable weapons would stop attack pixelized enemies.
  • Addressed an issue where the RYNO would appear to not damage enemies.
