Rainbow Six Siege is getting a new limited-time event just in time for Halloween. Recently, many other popular game titles are receiving Halloween themed game modes, and now Rainbow Six Siege will be joining the party with their new “Sugar Fright” event.
Rainbow Six Siege is still going strong after so many years, and to keep the gameplay fresh and fun, Ubisoft keeps implementing new quirky LTM for all the fans.
Sugar Fright LTM
Rainbow Six Siege’s “Sugar Fright” Halloween event will feature a 5v5 battle between “Treaters” and “Trickers”. The new game mode called ‘Candy War’ will be some kind of a kill-confirmed mode in which players will have ten minutes to kill enemies and hold onto their candies. Players will be able to collect these candies from downed enemies, and the first team to 50 candies, or the team with the most candy at the end of the time limit, wins. You’ll also be able to pick up your own downed allies’ candy to prevent the other team from scoring a point.
“Candy War” game mode will be played in the special ‘Neighborhood’ map, which will be decorated colorfully with sweets, cookies, and treats. Operators will automatically be equipped with uncanny looking puppet-themed cosmetics, and also have special refilling stun or smoke grenades in their load-outs. YouTuber Benjaminstrike posted a clip showing the mode in action, which you can check out below.
This new game mode will also include a respawn system, which Siege players have been wanting for a long time now. And finally, they’ll be getting a respawn mode, however, not with the usual game rules.
There will also be a new limited-time alpha pack collection for this event, so make sure to grab them before they are gone. These items can be earned as Sugar Fright packs by completing a special Event Challenge, or purchased as packs for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown each. Each Operator’s exclusive customization items are also available to purchase as bundles for 1,680 R6 Credits each.
The new limited-time game mode will start tomorrow and will last for 2 weeks, ending on November 10th. Ubisoft has already set themselves a high bar, as last year’s spooky Doktor’s Curse Halloween event seems to have become a fan-favorite in the Siege community.
