Rainbow Six Siege Operation Neon Dawn: Release times, Patch size, and more

Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege’s latest season – Operation Neon Dawn – will be releasing today, Dec. 1, on the live servers.

With the Year 5 Season 4 Patch, Rainbow Six Siege will be receiving a plethora of new updates, including the new defender Aruni and more. Check out the Neon Dawn animation video below.

Ubisoft has announced on Twitter that the new season will drop on the live servers at 13:00 UTC / 08:00 EDT for PC users and an hour and two later for PlayStation and Xbox respectively.
NOTE: The maintenance period will last for 1 hour.

The patch sizes for the Y5S4 update will be a whopping 60 GB for both Steam and Ubisoft connect users. However, the devs confirmed that this patch is larger than usual to consolidate data files, meaning it will take up less disk space once it is updated.

Apart from the new operator Aruni, Neon Dawn will be introducing the new Skyscraper rework, Hibana and Jager changes, and more quality-of-life updates. Find out all the new changes here. For all the balancing changes, check out the full patch notes.

The new season will significantly shift the game meta, as we move further away from the stale “20-second” meta. Zero and Echo will also come out from quarantine now and will be available for competitive play. It surely will be exciting to see how the new season plays out, so prepare your internet and get ready to update your game today.
