According to a new retailer listing, it seems like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be getting a physical Deluxe Edition on the PlayStation 5.
Released back in 2015, Rainbow Six Siege has been one of the most popular titles of Ubisoft. The tactical FPS shooter has gained over 60 million registered players, as reported by Ubisoft back in May 2020. And it seems like this strong growth will continue with the help of the physical PS5 discs being released this year.
Retailer 365 Games put up the “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Deluxe Edition” listing on their website, with a proposed released date of March 16, 2021. However, there are no details included in the listing about what the deluxe edition offers. Although the website states this is a pre-order only, the status is now showing “currently unavailable”.
Rainbow Six Siege is currently on both the next-gen consoles as a digital-purchase only. The game also offers backward compatibility, which means that you can take your disc of Rainbow Six Siege on PS4, put it in your PS5, or take your Xbox One disc and put it in your Xbox Series X.
But with the new physical editions on the new consoles, Ubisoft will be surely offering some bonuses for the players to enjoy. Both the next-gen consoles support 4K visuals and up to 120 FPS gameplay in Siege, so players might finally switch to newer hardware (if you find it in stock) with the release of these physical discs.
