Ubisoft has just announced that Rainbow Six Extraction will be the new official title for the game once known as Rainbow Six Quarantine.
The new reveal trailer provided a better glimpse of this upcoming Ubisoft title, and the worldwide full reveal of R6 Extraction is set to take place at the Forward event on June 12 at 3pm EDT.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine is a three-player tactical co-op game set several years in the future of the Rainbow Six universe. At Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press conference we got the first intense look at this new title, with an early 2020 release date. However, the game was later delayed into Ubisoft’s next fiscal year 2021-2022, due to the pandemic. R6: Parasite was the name given for internal testing, but now, as speculated by some people, the official name will be ‘Rainbow Six: Extraction‘.
According to the dev team, in R6: Extraction, operators from the Rainbow Six Siege universe will unite against a common threat: parasites, which are alien-like creatures.
Previous leak of the game hints that some selected Rainbow Six Siege operators will be playable in Parasite, including Alibi, Lion, Finka, Ela, and Tachanka with his old stationary turret. Some details about the loadout menu have also been shared, revealing new secondary gadgets that don’t exist in Siege such as Scan Grenade, Ammo Satchel, and Body Armour.
Alongside R6 Extraction, the Ubisoft Forward E3 event will release details about Far Cry 6, and provide updates for older titles like For Honor, Brawlhalla, and more. So you won’t want to miss the show, which will go live on June 12th at 7:00 PM (UK TIME) for the pre-show.
