Psychonauts fans can finally jump in the sequel to the original game that came out over 15 years ago. The brand new game has much to offer for fans that have been with the series since the beginning. A significant part of the Psychonauts series is known for its weird powers that allow users to burn and pick up objects. Different powers in the game have other functions. All PSI Powers in Psychonauts 2
Double Fine productions have kept the original powers from the first game and added new capabilities as well. They have also changed the usage of these powers compared to the first game. There are a total of 8 powers in the game. These include Melee, Telekinesis, Marksmanship, Pyrokinesis, Levitation, Mental Connection, Time bubble, and Clairvoyance.
All power’s names suggest what they do. You can use Melee to punch and knock out enemies, whereas with Telekinesis you can pick up and throw objects. The Marksmanship power lets you hit targets at a distance, but it does not do much damage. Levitation enables you to levitate for a while and allows you to ride a ball which will allow you to get to places faster. Pyrokinesis will enable you to lit everything on fire. This ability can be beneficial to defeat a horde of enemies and to find hidden areas. Look out for big paintings and try burning them to find secret places and rare collectables.
Mental Connection is a new power added to Psychonauts 2. It allows players to get inside ideas and join them. It lets you make people believe in specific ideas only when you were inside their heads. Clairvoyance will enable you to get inside someone’s head and see the world from their point of view. Last but not least, the Time bubble lets you slow down time for everyone inside the bubble area you create.
