After failing to qualify for the European League this season, PENTA Sports has dropped their Rainbow Six French roster.
This decision comes after PENTA fell short in the last two seasons of the Challenger League, finishing in third place and failing to return to the top-flight of Siege esports.
PENTA initially picked up this core roster back in September 2018, which included the players of ENEMY, RevaN, Panix, Hungry and SirBoss. But after a fifth and fourth-place finish in PL season 8 & 9, the team was relegated down to Challenger League. Soon PENTA Sports became a full French roster after picking up the trio of BlaZ, Kaktus, and Alive. Unfortunately, the decision to drop this lineup has now been announced.
With this roster, PENTA was crowned the 6 Open Cup 2020 champions, and most recently finished as runners-up during the 6 French League Season 2 tournament.
However, PENTA is mostly known because of their dominant run with the roster now known as G2 Esports. That iconic lineup won three Pro League and one Six Invitational title, all under the PENTA Sports tag.
“Rainbow 6 is in our DNA and is our flagship title. We are actively looking for a roster that will represent us the best in the future. To all PENTA fans, please be patient.“
But his doesn’t mean PENTA is leaving the Rainbow Six Siege scene. As confirmed by them, PENTA is on the search for a new lineup that will be able to achieve their main goal of competing at the top-most stage of Siege eSports.
