Best Ascendency Classes in Path of Exile (A Complete Tier List)

  • Best (S-tier) : Gladiator, Raider, Necromancer
  • Good (A-tier) : Saboteur, Berserker, Guardian, Slayer, Chieftain, Champion
  • Average (B-tier) : Hierophant, Elementalist, Trickster, Juggernaut, Deadeye, Occultist, Ascendant, Pathfinder
  • Underwhelming (C-tier) : Inquisitor, Assassin

As of the current patch 3.15, Gladiator stands at the top of all other Ascendency classes in PoE. For starters, he has always been a great ascendancy class, to begin with. He is incredibly good at both defense and offense, with all his passives focusing on Block Chance and Attack Speed. What makes him even better now, as of the latest patch, is the removal of ailment immunity from all other ascendancy classes.

This indirectly buffs him compared to other classes as this was the only sector in which he fell behind previously from other ascendencies. Moreover, the spectral shield also got buffed in this patch along with the addition of the Shield Crush skill. This will now allow players to build a massive shield for Gladiator that will act as both defense and damage.

Raider is also one of the top choices for a lot of players to this day. Even though she is not a hard hitter like Gladiator, she is still a master of evasion. With her, players can go around dodging and evading all attacks and taking zero damage. Although there is a slight chance of you getting hit, you will most likely get away with anything with the Raider class! Lastly, the Necromancer class still remains very powerful, despite the removal of ailment immunities.
