The start date of the third instalment of the Overwatch Anniversary Remix events has been announced by Blizzard.
The final Overwatch Anniversary Remix event is set to release this Tuesday, which will also be the last limited-time event before the release of Overwatch 2. It will include alternate versions of the existing skins from the base game.

This event will also be replacing Summer Games this year. This also means you’ll get a chance to purchase all the previous event-specific skins you could not unbox. Players who haven’t collected noteworthy skins like Grillmaster: 76 or Scuba Diva can do so now. Like previous Remix events, players might also get the chance to unlock weekly challenge skins.
Overwatch Anniversary Remix Vol. 3 Start and End date
Event Start: August 9th, 2022
Event End: August 30th, 2022
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, from the event teaser video, we can predict that Remix skins might be coming for Doomfist, Widowmaker, Zenyatta, Cassidy, Orisa and Ashe.
Twitter user going by the name @JhonnyGrigsby3 has even speculated which specific skins will get the remix treatment. They are:
- Doom’s Formal Skin
- Orisa’s Forrest Spirit Skin
- Cassidy’s Vigilante Skin
- Moria’s Venus Skin
- Ashe’s Mardi Gras Skin
- Sigma’s Maestro Skin
So far, the community has mixed feelings regarding the Overwatch Anniversary Remix events and Remix skins in general. Some find them a cool colour variant of their favourite skins, while others think the devs are just being lazy and instead of making new skins, they are just posting recolours of the previous ones.
With Overwatch 2 set to release on October 4th, this will be the last limited-time event for the original game.
