After being runner-up in Flashpoint Season 2 at the end of last year, OG has been struggling to earn any notable achievements this year. They were knocked out of group stages in IEM XV World Championship, failed to qualify for DreamHack Masters Spring 2021, and just recently failed to secure a spot in the playoffs from the group stages in ESL Pro League Season 13.
To overcome this setback and to improve their team, the organization decided that a revamp of the roster would be necessary. They benched Issa “ISSAA” Murad and recruited Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen.
niko was formerly a part of Heroic till the 26th of February when he got benched. There were rumors of him considering a moving to OG and finally it was confirmed earlier today. The 22 year Dane is has a lot of experience in competitive Counter-Strike with over 6 years in the pro scene.
OG’s current roster:
- ALEKSI “ALEKSIB” VIROLAINEN
- MATEUSZ “MANTUU” WILCZEWSKI
- VALDEMAR “VALDE” BJØRN VANGSÅ
- NIKOLAJ “NIKO” KRISTENSEN
- NATHAN “NBK-” SCHMITT (BENCHED)
- ISSA “ISSAA” MURAD (BENCHED)

OG did struggle to play niko as a stand-in but with more practice and experience playing with the team as a permanent player, he will surely prove to be a valuable asset to them.
