NIP defeat Astralis 2-0 at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021

BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021 is a three Double Elimination group CSGO tournament held online. Here 12 teams will take part in Best-of-3 matches for the $150,000 prize pool.

Astralis has shown good performance in their last major at BLAST Premier Global Finals 2020 decisively winning most of their games. They became the runners-up in the tournament losing to NAVI in Grand Finals. Their last championship win was back in 2019 at BLAST Pro Series Global Final 2019.

On the other hand, Ninjas in Pyjamas have not been performing up to par for some time now, with their last notable championship win was back in 2017 at Intel Extreme Masters XII – Oakland. They have also been struggling in their latest major in 2021 in CS_Summit 7. But with high spirits and rigorous practice, they have set their sights on BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021.

From NIP Tim ‘nawwk’ Jonasson had a stunning performance with a 41-29 K/D and a 75.9 ADR. Hampus ‘hampus’ Poser also performed really well as well as stand-in ZTR having a notable performance.

Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen and Nicolai ‘device’ Reedtz had stand-out performances from Astralis. They had an ADR of 83.9 and 79.9 respectively.

Ninjas in Pyjamas has had an amazing start to the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021. With this triumphant victory against Astralis, we can only expect great things ahead for NIP.
