Nintendo Aula rumored to have OLED Display, 4K Support, New Dock, and more.

Nintendo Switch came out almost four years ago, and the console has sold over 70 million copies. It has been a standout to all the other Nintendo consoles due to its portability and TV support. Nintendo released its cheaper version of the Switch this year but the 4k version is still up in the air.

According to the leaker and modder of Nintendo Switch SciresM, a new version of Nintendo Switch is coming. He revealed details about a potential Nintendo Switch Pro codenamed “Aula”. Rumors have been around for some while now, and we are waiting for Nintendo to confirm it.

SciresM dug up some holes and found some leads on the new upcoming console for Nintendo. The firmware revealed that 4K and OLED display might come to Nintendo Aula. The original Nintendo has an LCD and HD resolution, so this rumored version could be a massive upgrade.

The following might come according to SciresM:

  • Uses the same “Mariko” SoC
  • Includes 4K support (potentially powered by a new Realtek 4K UHD multimedia SoC chip)
  • An OLED screen
  • Games optimized for this version of the Nintendo Switch

This is big news, but all of this is just a rumor, so we have to take it with a grain of salt. The new firmware on Switch revealed all of this, but only time will tell if it is true or not. This Aula version is supposed to be announced on the 12th of January, so sit back and wait for the 4K version of Switch rumors to become real.
