niko and b0RUP benched from HEROIC’s CSGO roster, replaced by refrezh and sjuush

It has been announced earlier today that Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen and Johannes “b0RUP” Borup would be benched from HEROIC’s active Counter-Strike roster. The organization announced this on Twitter and was on the lookout for their worthy replacements.

Movement in Team HEROIC’s Counter-Strike roster has been rumored for quite a while now. The team have been struggling in their 2021 season for quite some time now. In the IEM Season XV World Championship, HEROIC lost 0:2 to Team Spirit in the first round of the upper bracket. They had a chance to come back in the lower bracket but lost to Gambit Esports 1:2. In cs_summit 7, HEROIC beat OG 2:0 in the quarterfinals but went on to lose against Fnatic 0:2 in the semi-finals and were dropped out of the tournament.

The Danish organization made the decision to bring changes in the roster in order to improve the team. HEROIC announced that they would be benching niko and b0RUP. The aim of this change was to bring in worthy replacements and strengthen the team.

HEROIC welcomes refrezh and sjuush

Team HEROIC enlist Ismail “refrezh” Ali and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck from MAD Lions. With the two talented Danish riflers, HEROIC aims to revamp their Counter Strike roster.

With ESL Pro League Season 13 just over the horizon, HEROIC seems pretty confident in their new roster and aims to achieve notable achievements in the tournament.
