The classic fighter game has always been a fan favorite, and their sales prove it. The trailer for the upcoming live-action movie of the game series now has a release date. This movie is a reboot of the original, which came out back in 1997. It is set to air on April 16 in theaters, you can also watch it on HBO Max and Imax.

Directed by the one and only Simon McQuoid who produced The Conjuring. The movie will be coming on the big screen after almost 24 years. After Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, the franchise didn’t produce any more movies until now.
The hype is certainly high for this movie mainly because fans have been craving another after 1997, and we all want to see a real-life Jhonny showing off his style. Moreover, it has characters that we have all wanted throughout the years in a Mortal Kombat movie.
It includes Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Jax, Kano, Raiden, and Kung Lao. A brand new character Cole Young is also coming, which is also a new addition to the Mortal Kombat Universe. The actors involved in making it are Joe Taslim, Jessica McNamee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, and Josh Lawson.
