Metacritic Publisher of the Year 2020 announced

The review and score aggregating site, Metacritic has announced Sega as Publisher of the Year for 2020.

Metacritic has finally released its Publisher of the Year list for 2020. Although they do not host separate shows to announce winners. The rules they consider when ranking publishers give gamers a very good idea of how the company stood out the whole year. Such as an average Metascore, games with a 90+ score on Metacritic.

2020 was an absolute blast of a year for gaming. From AAA developers and publishers and indie teams, releasing some of the best games in recent times. The competition was stiff. Hence gamers enjoyed excellent games the whole year. From all types of genre. Games like Kentucky Route Zero, Hades, Last of US 2, Animal Crossing, etc set a new bar for gaming and its standard.

But how did the publishers of the industry stood out? How consistent were they and how did their games receive. Metacritic has judged based on all of these and finally revealed their top list.

Sega has won the top spot with an average Metascore of 81.6. And an arsenal of incredible games like Persona 5 Royale, Yakuza 7, Yakuza 0 on Xbox, 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim, etc. Almost all of them were showered with love and praise. Furthermore, 2nd spot goes to Annapurna Interactive and 3rd, Capcom.
