Marvel’s Avengers War for Wakanda release date has finally been revealed.
The free expansion starring Black Panther is set to be released on August 17, making it less than a month away. Players will be able to get the DLC through a free update. With this Expansion, Black Panther will become the game’s third latest playable character besides Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. The King’s arrival was announced by Marvel’s Avengers’ official Twitter account.
In terms of content, the War for Wakanda expansion will be much more fulfilling than Taking A.I.M and Future Imperfect. Players will face two brand new villains. In addition to new story content, there will be new Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions that can be played either solo or multiplayer. Moreover, there will be new sceneries and explorable areas, new enemies, and much more. The Birnin Zana Outpost will also be added.

Although Marvel’s Avengers had failed to meet expectations upon its release in 2020. Crystal Dynamics consistently rolled out multiple expansions through free updates to make up for that. The latest one was released just two days prior on July 27th, called Omega Level Threat: Family Reunion which gave players the most-demanded Endgame content.
In addition to War for Wakanda, Marvel’s Avengers has also announced WAR TABLE for WAKANDA which will come out on August 16 at 10 am PDT. It will reveal further details about the latest Black Panther expansion.
Marvel’s Avengers has kicked off its all-access weekend starting today, giving players free access to all of the game’s content including Omega Level Threat for a limited time. The trial will only be available until August 1, 8 am PT/ 11 am ET/ 4 pm UK. The all-access weekend has already begun on PlayStation, PC, and Stadia. However, Xbox users will have to wait a bit longer for the event to start.
