League of Legends: Wild Rift has been delayed for its release in North America due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
League of Legends: Wild Rift has already been getting a lot of positive feedback from the mobile gaming community. The game is currently on an open beta operating in both Android and iOS. Riot has extended the server to Europe, Taiwan, Oceania, and Vietnam in December and introduced multiple new champions as well.
However, Wild Rift is yet to get its server on regions like North America, India, and others even in the open beta phase. And regarding these regions, Riot’s executive producer, Micheal Chow has said that they were “grounded and unable to travel” due to the COVID-19 pandemic which is causing them from launching new servers. But Riot did hint that League of Legends: Wild Rift is coming to North America in early 2021.

The esports scene of the League of Legends in NA is already thriving and experts are speculating that it will grow even further with the new LCS format in 2021. And releasing the mobile version at this time will definitely attract more players to play the game.
