LCK is the newest victim of the Coronavirus outbreak as LCK delays until the Coronavirus epidemic dies down in Korea.
Riot Korea announced that as the Corona19 is rapidly spreading across Korea, and in order to ensure the safety of the players, staff the 2020 LCK spring is delayed after the end of Round 1.
Riot Korea committed, “Due to the on-growing Corona19 epidemic, in order to ensure the safety of the members of the league, we have decided to have the LCK and Challengers Korea go on an indefinite hiatus. Currently, we do not have a set return date, and will keep a close eye on the epidemic to choose the appropriate date of return.”

Korea has the largest number of Coronavirus affected people outside mainland China with over 5,000 confirmed cases and the Korean government has declared war against the Coronavirus.
League of Legends Pro League (LPL) was also delayed due to the coronavirus and recently they have announced that LPL will continue with games being played online. LCK hasn’t confirmed anything yet on when they will continue spring split. But it is most unlikely to happen any time soon until the Coronavirus epidemic dies down in Korea.
With two of the major regions, LPL and LCK are delayed due to the coronavirus the 2020 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational is also in jeopardy.
