NUTURN gaming was in first place in VCT Stage 2 Challengers Korea and the second runner’s up in VCT Stage 2 Masters Iceland. After a long 6 months with the same core players, Lakia has announced that he will be leaving the team. Choi “10X” Jin-woo will be joining in his place.
In a tweet he posted on social media he said that his “journey with NUTURN has come to a close today.” As of now, the reason of this outcome has not been revealed yet. He also said, “Regarding the next chapter of my career, I will return with some exciting news soon.” The statement is vague but it most likely means that he will transfer to another Valorant team. If so, Vision Strikers could be a viable option for him. Although, it could also mean shifting to a new game as well.
Lakia had a good run with the Korean team. He ended VCT Stage 1 as the Runner’s up losing against Vision Strikers at a 3:2 scoreline. In VCT Stage 2 Masters he achieved second runner’s up losing against Fnatic.
His place will be taken by Choi “10X” Jin-woo. Though he might not be as experienced as Lakia, the young talent has high potential and with good training NUTURN will be able to build him up to be a reliable player in the team.
With the Open Qualifiers of VCT Stage 3 Korea to start soon, we are yet to see which roster is going to feature the star Sova main.
