Idris Elba’s character Bloodsport from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is coming to Fortnite island.
Idris Elba has announced a collaboration between Fortnite and DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad film. In this latest crossover, players will get to play as the DC Supervillain Bloodsport. Suicide Squad Director James Gunn revealed the announcement through his official Twitter handle.
In the 10 second teaser, we get to see a brief glimpse of what Bloodsport’s character looks like in Fortnite. Moreover, Bloodsport is also seen riding down a Zipline and firing rocket launchers. However, we have to wait until tomorrow to get more details regarding the crossover.
This crossover announcement was certainly made at the right time, given The Suicide Squad was just released in theatres yesterday. However, this is not the first time that DC has collaborated with Fortnite. In the past, other notable DC superheroes and villains have also shown up on Fortnite island.
This includes Harley Quinn, another core member of the Suicide Squad. In addition, Barry Allen from CW’s Arrowverse also made an appearance in February. Other characters include members of the Teen Titans like Robin and Beast Boy. And lastly, although not directly, Batman and members of the rogues’ gallery also made an appearance in the Fortnite universe through a 6 part comic book mini-series.
Moreover, DC is not the only comic book giant Fortnite has collaborated with in the past. Just this month, we got Marvel’s beloved God of Mischief, Loki as a playable character in Fortnite’s July Crew Pack.
