One thing to note here is that the game does not allow you to change your character’s physical appearance (such as skin, hair, and eye color) once you’ve created your own custom character.
However, the game does let you change your hairstyle, makeup, armor color, and even the Layered Armor. To change your appearance, you will first need to head into the boat in Mahana Village.
Inside the boat, you will find a bed where you can save your game and a chest beside it. You can change your looks in the game using the chest beside your bed.
Interact with it to find yourself with the appearance option. From there, you can customize your clothes and hairstyle. As you progress, you will find more items to change your appearance with.
Moreover, you can also use the boat to change the appearance of your friend, Navirou. However, if you want to change your character’s physical appearance, you will have to start a new game.
