Arc System Works has revealed that Guilty Gear Strive will be getting cross-play. But it is still in its early stages.

Currently, Guilty Gear Strive is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Furthermore, cross-play is only available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players. Sadly leaving PC players alone. Hence resulting in a lower player base for PC gamers than their console counterparts.
But PC players are getting their lucks turned after all, as in an interview by VG247, the devs Arc System Works have confirmed that a Guilty Gear Strive cross-play system is in the works. For all platforms that is. Although it is still in the early stages so don’t expect it to arrive anytime soon.
“Of course, we are always striving to accomplish this, and we are going through the verification processes for it. But there are still many practical issues like schedules and the running costs of matching servers. It will take a little more time before we can make a concrete announcement.”
For now, PC gamers still have to make do without the coveted cross-play features. But when it arrives, the Guilty Gear Strive experience will increase tenfold with the cross-play system. More players, quicker matchmaking, ability to play with friends on different platforms. Cross-play is probably one of the most demanded features in gaming. Nowadays more and more games are adopting this system.
To put the cherry on the cake, a cross-progression system for Guilty Gear Strive will be wonderful too. But let’s not get our hopes too high.
Guilty Gear Strive was released on June 11th, 2021 for, PS4, PS5, PC, and Arcade. It is the 7th mainline entry to the series.
