Geoff Keighley is skipping E3 for the first time in 25 years

Geoff Keighley announced that he will be skipping this years’ E3. This will be the first time in 25 years that Geoff Keighley will not be in E3.

Geoff Keighley has confirmed the news by tweeting on his personal Twitter account. In a statement he said:

For the past 25 years, I have attended every Electronic Entertainment Expo. Covering, hosting, and sharing E3 has been a highlight of my year, not to mention a defining part of my career.

I’ve debated what to say about E3 2020. While I want to support the developers who will showcase their work, I also need to be open and honest with you, the fans, about precisely what to expect from me.

I have made the difficult decision to decline to produce E3 Coliseum. For the first time in 25 years, I will not beparticipating in E3.

I look forward to supporting the industry in other ways and at other events in the future.

Geoff Keighley has hosted and produced the E3 Coliseum for the last few years and he has part of this event a long time. And this year he declined the offer to produce E3 Coliseum. Although he didn’t mention any specific reason why he is skipping E3 2020.

With Geoff Keighley, yet another big name is skipping E3 2020. Earlier this year Sony announced they are skipping E3 for the second straight year. E3’s organizers have also struggled to maintain the confidence of the media after leaking the personal information of thousands of media attendees.

E3 is one of the largest conventions for video games which was started back in 1995. And with Sony and Geoff Keighley skipping fans can not wait to see how things will go out this year.
