Genshin Impact: Updated Bennett Build Guide 2022

Here is a build guide for Bennett, one of the best support characters in Genshin Impact.

If you have been playing Genshin Impact for quite some time now, you have a pretty good idea of Bennett’s importance. One of the best overall characters in Genshin Impact, Bennett is considered the best support in the game.

Bennett is a 4-star Pyro character in Genshin Impact. He was an orphan discovered by an elderly adventurer as a baby. Bennett was raised in Mondstadt’s Adventurers’ Guild. He is the only member of “Benny’s Adventure Team,” as everyone else left the team after experiencing the constant misfortune that follows him.

Bennett is mainly played as a support or sub-DPS, depending on playstyle. One of the best supports in the game, Bennett grants his team massive buffs and a ton of healing. Being a 4-star character, Bennett and his constellations are pretty easy to get, but his sixth constellation is controversial in the Genshin Impact community. On our Top 10 Supports list, Bennett was ranked at the top of the list.

We recommend this is the only artifact set for Bennett because Noblesse Oblige is still the best artifact set for support characters for its 4-piece set bonus.

Best Weapons for Bennett

Bennett can use a great number of weapons, including some free-to-play ones. Usually, Bennett’s main priorities are weapons with high base attacks and energy recharge. Here are some of the best weapons for Bennett.

As we can see, Bennett has several good weapons available, even if you’re a free-to-play player. Aquila Favonia is the best in slot weapon for Bennett because of its high base attack. Skyward Blade is also a really good 5-star sword for Bennett because he requires a lot of energy recharge.

Festering Desire was an event reward weapon that may not be available to newer players, but it’s a good option. Prototype Rancour is the best free-to-play option for Bennett because of its high base attack and passive. The Alley Flash is an excellent option because for a 4-star weapon, it has a really high base attack. Then Favonius Sword is great for its high energy recharge, and it can generate a lot of energy for your Bennett and the entire team.

Bennett Builds

Standard Build
4-piece Noblesse Oblige
Flower, Feather, ATK% or Energy Recharge or HP%, Pyro DMG Bonus%, Crit Rate or DMG%

Sub-DPS Build
4-piece Noblesse Oblige or 4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames
Flower, Feather, ATK%, Pyro DMG Bonus%, Crit Rate or DMG%

Bennett is considered an universal support in Genshin Impact. He can fit into any team that needs a healer and party buffer. Bennett is pretty good for Pyro teams because he can act as a battery, and it will increase the Pyro damage of all your party members. Because of Bennet’s short cooldown on his elemental skill and burst, he can get back his elemental burst pretty quick if Bennett is stacked with a lot of energy recharge.

Every single Main DPS character can utilize Bennett’s burst because it will buff your entire party’s attack. And the characters can pull out some great damage numbers if they are inside Bennetts’ burst circle.

Best Team Comp

Bennett can be slotted into every team comp in Genshin Impact, and we are not joking about it. Every single ‘Meta’ teams require Bennett as the main support. Current fan-favorite National Team (Party of 4-stars) where Bennett plays a significant role. Main DPS characters like Eula, Raiden Shogun, Ganyu, and Ayaka need Bennett in their party for maximum damage output.

Here we listed some of the popular team comps for Bennett.

  1. Raiden Shogun, Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling
  2. Tartaglia, Xiangling, Bennett, Kazuha
  3. Xiangling, Bennett, Chongyun, Xingqiu
  4. Ganyu, Bennett, Kazuha, Zhongli

Bennett’s Sixth Constellation Controversy

While Bennett is a top-tier support in Genshin, there is a slight controversy around him. Being a 4-star character, his constellations are pretty easy to acquire. His C1 is arguably the best constellation in the game, but his C6 is unwanted by many players.

Bennett’s sixth constellation, ‘Fire Ventures with Me’ is questionable in the game. His sixth constellation provides a unique buff: Sword, Claymore, or Polearm-wielding characters inside Fantastic Voyage‘s (Bennett’s Elemental Burst) radius gain a 15% Pyro DMG Bonus, and their weapons are infused with Pyro.

The extra 15% Pyro DMG Bonus is great for Pyro-oriented teams, like Klee, Yoimiya, and Diluc teams. But the rest of the Main DPS characters cannot correctly utilize Bennett’s elemental burst. Like Keqing, Eula, and Ayaka, who rely on their normal and charged attacks for damage.

This constellation is controversial because Eula, Ayaka, and Keqing teams rely on normal attacks, and his sixth constellation ruins it. It is acceptable for Pyro-oriented teams, but we recommend not activating his sixth constellation for future characters that may require Bennett.
