Here is a build guide for Kaedehara Kazuha, one of the best Anemo support characters in Genshin Impact.

Kaedehara Kazuha is a 5-star Anemo sword user from Inazuma. Kazuha was the first character introduced in Genshin Impact from the land of Inazuma, a wandering samurai of the once-famed Kaedehara Clan and is a temporary crewmember of The Crux.

Kazuha was released during the version 1.6 update of Genshin Impact. He was a very unpopular character at the start, leading most players to avoid pulling for his banner. But later, Kazuha quickly became one of the most popular characters because of his looks and gameplay. Most Genshin Impact fans are now eagerly waiting for Kazuha’s rerun banner so they can collect him.

One of the strongest supports in the game, Kazuha can swirl elements onto enemies with both his elemental skill and burst. In our Top 10 Best Genshin Impact Support characters list, Kazuha was ranked in the top half of the list.

Below is a comprehensive build guide for Kazuha, one of the best anemo supports in Genshin Impact.

Kazuha Talents

Normal Attack: Garyuu Bladework

Normal Attack: Performs up to five rapid strikes.

Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.

Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. If this Plunging Attack is triggered by Chihayaburu, it will be converted to Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan.

Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG and will create a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.

Elemental Skill

Unleashes a secret technique as fierce as the rushing wind that pulls objects and opponents towards Kazuha’s current position before launching opponents within the AoE, dealing Anemo DMG and lifting Kazuha into the air on a rushing gust of wind.
Within 10s of remaining airborne after casting Chihayaburu, Kazuha can unleash a powerful Plunging Attack known as Midare Ranzan.

Can be used in mid-air.

Charges up before unleashing greater Anemo DMG over a larger AoE than Press Mode.

Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG. On landing, Kazuha creates a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.
Midare Ranzan’s DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.

Elemental Burst

Kazuha Slash

The signature

The signature technique of Kazuha’s self-styled bladework — a single slash that strikes with the force of the first winds of autumn, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.
The blade’s passage will leave behind a field named “Autumn Whirlwind” that periodically deals AoE Anemo DMG to opponents within its range.

Elemental Absorption
If Autumn Whirlwind comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional elemental DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.

Passive Talents

Soumon Swordsmanship

If Chihayaburu comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro when cast, Chihayaburu will absorb that element, and if Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan is used before the effect expires, it will deal an additional 200% ATK of the absorbed elemental type as DMG. This will be considered Plunging Attack DMG.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use of Chihayaburu.

Poetics of Fuubutsu

Upon triggering a Swirl reaction, Kaedehara Kazuha will grant all party members a 0.04% Elemental DMG Bonus to the element absorbed by Swirl for every point of Elemental Mastery he has for 8s. Bonuses for different elements obtained through this method can co-exist.

Cloud Strider

Decreases sprinting Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%.
Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.

Kaedehara Kazuha has some pretty good weapon options, including a free-to-play one. Freedom-Sworn is the best in slot weapon for Kaedehara Kazuha, to a point where it is almost broken for him. Still, Iron Sting is an excellent free-to-play weapon for Kazuha because it increases all elemental damage. These weapons have Elemental Mastery as a passive substat which is very important for Kazuha for elemental reactions.

Sacrificial Sword is an excellent option for Kazuha because it will reset your elemental skill, and with a high energy recharge, players can use his burst often. Mistsplitter Reforged is one of the best 5-star swords in the game, which is also great for Kazuha because it will increase the elemental damage bonus once equipped.

Skyward Blade is an excellent weapon for Kazuha as well as Primordial Jade Cutter. Both are amazing 5-star weapons that are great on Kazuha for a Sub-DPS or DPS build.

Sub-DPS Build
4-piece Viridescent Venerer

Kazuha can easily inflict Anemo to enemies making it easy to debuff them and buff your entire party. He shines as a Sub-DPS that will boost the DMG of the whole team and make it easier to crowd control enemies.

For teams that require Anemo support for crowd control and elemental reactions, Kazuha fits into them perfectly. With 4-piece Viridescent Venerer artifacts set and a decent weapon, Kazuha can make your life easy in domains or against bosses.

Kazuha can gather enemies consistently and within arm’s reach with his elemental skill. He can also provide powerful damage through his plunge attack, which will leave the enemies in one spot. Another unique ability of Kazuha is that he can gather even larger enemies, though not as effective with smaller enemies, something other Anemo characters cannot do properly. If Kazuha swirls an element, it will give the team raw Elemental DMG bonus of the swirled element. Together with the Viridescent Venerer, Kazuha will be able to provide buffs for the team.

Kazuha’s Elemental Burst is mainly used to deal Elemental damage to enemies. The burst will absorb an element inflicted on the enemies it hits and will also deal damage.
