Genshin Impact: Is The Battle Pass Worth It?

In this article, we will discuss if the Battle Pass in Genshin Impact is worth it or not.

Genshin Impact is a popular online Action RPG game developed by Chinese game studio Mihoyo. The free-to-play RPG is available across PlayStation, PC, and Mobile. Since its release, Genshin Impact has garnered millions of players worldwide.

While Genshin Impact might be free-to-play, there are items in the game that players can buy with money to make their life a bit easier. Like many other popular online games, Genshin Impact has a Battle Pass system, and it has been there since version 1.0. It offers players a chance to get numerous exclusive items such as Mora, Ascension materials, and, more importantly, a good weapon. Unfortunately, players doubt whether they can get their money’s worth from buying it like any game with a Battle Pass system.

Today, we will discuss if you should buy the Battle Pass in Genshin Impact and whether or not it is worth the money.

Genshin Impact Battle Pass Overview

Players will be able to unlock Genshin Impact’s battle pass after hitting Adventurer Rank 20. After that, they can start doing various daily, weekly, and event missions to gain Battle Pass EXP. There are two versions of the Battle Pass currently available: Sojourner’s Battle Pass and Gnostic Hymn.

You will earn one Acquaint Fate for every 10 levels cleared in Sojourner’s Battle Pass (the base version of Battle Pass that everyone gets). There are 50 Battle Pass levels total, so that’s five Fates you can get for free.

Genshin Impact gets a massive update every six weeks, and since the Battle Pass lasts for the duration of each update, you have a little over a month to claim your rewards.

Gnostic Hymn and Gnostic Chorus

Gnostic Hymn can be purchased for $9.99 and, once unlocked, opens up the second tier of rewards in the Battle Pass. The second tier will significantly increase your rewards from Sojourner’s Battle Pass, even including Talent Level-Up materials after every five levels.

In addition to the five Acquaint Fates you earn by maxing out your Battle Pass levels, Gnostic Hymn will also give you four(4) Intertwined Fates to use towards the most recent character banner. Another feature of Gnostic Hymn is that once you reach Battle Pass level 30, you get to choose one of the featured 4-star weapons from the Battle Pass.

Is It Worth Buying the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass?

If you play Genshin Impact actively and want to save some time and resin for farming materials, buying the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass is recommended. The rewards are pretty decent because Mora, Hero’s Wit, Fragile Resin, and Talent Ascension materials are necessary for characters. You also get some Intertwined Fates and Primogems to help you in the game.

The weapons are probably the highlight of the entire Battle Pass because CRIT Rate weapons are rare in the game. The Serpent Spine, Deathmatch, and The Black Sword are considered a few of the best weapons in the game.

For just $10, you can unlock all of the items we listed above by doing different easy quests every week. In our opinion, Gnostic Hymn is the better value option than Gnostic Chorus because, for an extra $11.99, you’re not getting too much.

In our opinion, if you’re planning to play Genshin Impact for a while, it might be worth it to buy the Battle Pass.
