G2 Esports bench KennyS, JaCkz to take his place

Kenny “KennyS” Schrub has played a vital role as G2’s main AWPer for quite a long time. But after being off form for several months, the organization has finally decided to bench him and reinstate Audric “JaCkz” Jug to the active lineup.

Kenny “KennyS” Schrub is one of the most popular Counter-Strike players and is arguably the best AWPers in the history of the game. He has been a part of G2 Esports for four years now and played a major role in winning multiple tournaments namely DreamHack Masters Malmo 2017 and BLAST Premier: 2020 Spring 2020 Regular Season. But since late 2020, he has been off form and failed to perform up to the standard in the 2021 events.

Earlier today, G2 Esports have tweeted that they updated their Counter Strike roster. There, it has been stated that Audric “JaCkz” Jug will be returning to the active roster. Nikola “NiKo” Kovac would fill the hybrid Rifler/AWPer role previously held by KennyS. Kenny “KennyS” would be allowed to explore new opportunities.

With the changes done to the team and NiKo transitioning to the hybrid rifler/AWPer role, we are yet to see what sort of effect it will put on the team as a whole. The newly revamped G2 is set to take the stage at ESL Pro League Season 12 on March 13th.
