Fortnite World Cup Duos winner and FNCS competitor Aqua has apparently been banned by Epic Games after he was accused of Stream Sniping another FNCS competitor Benjyfishy during the FNCS Europe Week 3 Semifinals.

David “aqua” Wang is an 18-year-old Fortnite pro player currently playing for the Cooler Esports team. During the Fortnite Duos World Cup 2019, he represented his country Austria. His teammate was Emil “nyhrox” Bergquist from Norway. They won 1.5 Million USD for taking the 1st position in the Fortnite World Cup Duos. Since winning the world cup he has been one of the top Fortnite pro players winning multiple tournaments.

The Fortnite FNCS week 3 semis has just begun and Aqua and his team(Rezon and Noahreyli) were also participating in the European region. Another Fortnite pro player Benjy “Benjyfishy” David Fish and his team(Martin ‘MrSavage’ Andersen, and Kevin ‘LeTsHe’ Fedjuschkin) were also participating in this same tournament. Aqua has been accused of stream sniping Benjy’s team during the FNCS week 3 semis.

First Benjy’s fans were a bit suspicious of Aqua’s behaviors but things quickly escalated when Benjy’s team didn’t qualify. Benjy’s Fans also found out that Aqua was watching MRSavage’s stream during the FNCS week 3 semis. This ignited more suspicion among the fans.

Following all this speculation, a rumor began spreading that Aqua and his team have apparently been banned by Epic Games from participating past the final match in the FNCS finals.

Although it is very difficult to prove if someone is stream sniping, it seems like Aqua and his team did not play in the 2nd or 3rd qualifier game. They could be disqualified from the FNCS tournament as Aqua left the game after being knocked out and this is against Epic’s tournament rules.

It’s very unlikely that Aqua and his team got banned as there is no definitive way to prove if they were stream sniping.

Don't think that is true tbh… Like every time players got the ingame ban they got removed from the leaderboard insta! Aqua and them are still on the leaderboard… My guess is that they got told not to play this finals by epic, so they still can play Heats pic.twitter.com/fCdX13OmGj

Aqua responded to all this speculation saying that they did not get banned but simply decided not to participate.

Aqua response on the whole situation

Apparently, Benjy and Aqua don’t seem too bothered by this whole satiation. They were seen sharing memes about this incident on social media.
