Fortnite has removed balloons from the Floor is Lava LTM because the position of the knot was rather unfortunate.
Fortnite has a PEGI rating of 12, meaning anyone above the age of 12 can play the game. This might be the reason why most of the Fortnite pros are generally 14-17 year old’s. There are also a lot of casual Fortnite players that are under the age of 18. So usually Fortnite has ensured a family-friendly environment and content to keep its age rating.
Recently Fortnite announced the Lazarbeam Icon Series skin, and accompanying it is the Baby Gingy backbling. The Baby Gingy backbling sits on the back of skin’s facing the opposite direction. Recently this has caused some unfortunate and unintended circumstances which have led to the balloons being disabled from the Floor is Lava LTM.

Balloons Disabled:
Balloons are utility items in Fortnite that allow players to float in the sky. It is a very useful item in the Floor is Lava LTM where touching the ground means almost certain elimination.
Balloons when used in Fortnite show up as attached via a string on the Fortnite skin’s backs. The Baby Gingy backing’s neck also sits around the same area. Which has led to it looking like the balloon’s strings are around Baby Gingy’s neck.
Epic Games disabled the balloons soon after this unintended placement was found out and might be working on an immediate fix. So we might be getting a hotfix update pretty soon to fix the visual position of the balloon knots.
