Fortnite facing massive service outage including matchmaking and login after the release of season 4.

Fortnite Season 4 just got released a few hours ago. The season is in collaboration with Marvel. The Battle Pass consists of Marvel Skins. The season is set on a path to be the best season in Fortnite and that shows in player numbers.

After the release of Fortnite Season 4, a massive number of players got back to the game in order to check out the new season. People who haven’t played for a long time also came back. These massive numbers of players apparently cause degraded performance. A lot of Fortnite services including matchmaking and login is down.

So if you cannot log in Fortnite the server issues might be the reason. According to Fortnite server status, all services are currently facing major outages.

Reduced Download Speed

There was a massive download requirement of 21GB fo PC users who wanted to play Season 4 of Fortnite. PS4 players got close to 10 GB update. Due to the large number of players trying to download the new season. the download speed on Epic Games is facing massive problems.

Fortnite tweeted about the degraded performance and service issues.

A lot of players are unable to login the game right now because of Fortnite facing service outage. So instead of trying to login, it’s better to check the server status. If the service status goes back to good then you might be able to log back in and enjoy the new Season 4 of Fortnite.
