The renowned magazine Forbes has recently published its list of top 10 Esports organizations for the year 2020 based on revenue.

2020 has been a year of insane growth for Esports. Esports has been growing at an increasingly explosive rate and is becoming mainstream. Esports orgs are gaining massive popularity even among celebrities. Many celebrities have partnerships in Esports orgs but this year many celebrities were signed to some massive orgs.

The amount of revenue these Esports orgs are generating is also increasing as they become more mainstream. Esports organizations like TSM, 100 Thieves, Cloud9 are now known to even the common folk. The pandemic also helped fuel this popularity as people were locked up in their homes and most forms of entertainment were not available.

Recently the renowned Forbes magazine released their list of top 10 Esports org’s by the amount of revenue generated for the year 2020 and the amount of money these Esports organizations generate is insane.

Top 10 Esports orgs:

1. TSM:

TSM takes the first spot on the list with a value of over $410 million. They generated a staggering $45 million in revenue in 2020. 50% of this revenue was generated from Esports while the other half was through sponsorships and other means.

2. Cloud9:

Cloud9 is in 2nd position with a value of over $390 million. They generated $30 million in revenue this year. 2/3 of this revenue was generated through Esports. Their revenue decreased by 13% compared to last year but they still took 2nd spot on the list.

3. Team Liquid

Team Liquid’s estimated value is $310 million and they successfully generated $28 million this year. With a 3% decrease from last year, they generated 89% of it through Esports.

4. FaZe Clan

Faze clan’s revenue increased by 27% compared to last year. They generated almost $40 million in revenue in 2020 with 20% of it being from Esports. This year they also signed Lebron James’s son to their org.

100 Thieves:

100 Thieves is another big name in the world of Esports. They saw a massive 19% increase in revenue generation with $16 million in earnings in total. 19% of it was from Esports. Their estimated value is $190 million.

6. Gen.G:

Gen.g has an estimated value of over $185 million with $14 million in revenue generation this year. 75% of which was through Esports. 1 year change 0%.

7. Enthusiast Gaming 

Enthusiast Gaming generated $95 million this year and only 6% of it was from Esports. Their estimated value stands at around $180 million.

8. G2 Esports:

G2 has been a dominant name in the world of Esports this year with a staggering $19 million in revenue generated. Their revenue increased by 6% in 2020 and was $19 million. 80% of this revenue was from Esports.

9. NRG Esports:

NRG saw a slight increase in their revenue generation by 3% and earned an estimated $20 million. Their revenue from Esports was 25% of the total revenue. NRG has an estimated value of $155 million.

10. T1:

With an estimated value of $150 million T1 is in the 10th spot on the Forbes list. They didn’t have any yearly change in their revenue generation. T1 generated $15 million in revenue and 60% of it was from Esports.

These are the top 10 Esports orgs in the year 2020 according to the Forbes magazine.
