Faze clan, victors of VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 finals

VALORANT Champions Tour or VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 is the third installment of the regional VALORANT Challenger series. The tournament is a Double Elimination bracket system where each match is best-of-3 and the Grand finals are best-of-5.

VALORANT’s 2021 timeline has been carefully planned out by Riot to have multiple tournaments across all regions throughout the year. Three stages are organized where each stage will have Challengers and Masters events. From the Master’s events, the teams will qualify for the Grand event: VALORANT Champions.

VALORANT Champions tour 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 marks the third and final Challenger series of Stage 1 in the NA region. The top two teams facing each other in the final are Faze clan and 100 Thieves. Faze clan has won every match so far and stayed in the upper bracket, where 100T is playing from the lower bracket after losing in the quarterfinals.

Faze clan walk into this match with a map advantage being in the upper bracket. The first map played was Icebox picked by 100T. Faze clan won the map quite convincingly with babybay showing a stand-out performance along with an Ace.

The second map was Bind which was picked by Faze. The first half was very competitive with both teams having an equal scoreline. But in the second half, 100T struggled to break Faze’s defense and Faze won the map along with the series.

Today Faze might have won but both teams will be qualifying for the VCT 2021: North America Masters Stage 1 and will be getting a chance at facing each other again.
