Fall Guys Reaches Top 5 Most Played Games On Steam passing GTA V

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout reached the top 5 most played games on steam this Friday by overtaking GTA V.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a different type of battle royale game where players have to survive certain mini-games. The one who is ultimately left alive is the winner. Fall Guys is developed by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital.

The idea for the game was originated when the team was discussing another project. One member made a comment about how he missed game shows such as Takeshi’s Castle and Wipeout. These game shows were very famous back in the ’90s. Then he made a pitch meeting about the idea and ultimately it was made into a game.

Fall Guys open beta was received with astounding positivity by the gaming community. At one point Fall Guys briefly became the most viewed game on Twitch with 500,000+ live viewers. It was also the 6th best selling steam game when it was up for pre-order.

The goofy character design and the wobbly movement of the characters made people love the game even more.

Fall Guys becoming top 5 Played Game

Since the release of the game, a lot of players are trying to play the game which has caused the servers to go under maintenance repeatedly. The fact that PS+ players got the game for free also put a lot of pressure on the servers.

The Fall Guys team is working hard to beef the servers so that it can tank the huge number of flooding players. The servers are going up and down since the game’s release. Even with all these server issues and downtime Fallguys still made it to the top 5 most played games on Steam.

This Friday Fall Guys made it into the top 5 most played games on Steam with over 100k concurrent players overtaking GTA V.

This was posted on their official Twitter just recently.
