Evil Geniuses defeat G2 2-1 at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021

BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021 is a three Double Elimination group CSGO tournament held online. Here 12 teams will take part in Best-of-3 matches for the $150,000 prize pool.

Evil Geniuses and G2 Esports faced off against each other in the Lower Bracket finals in Group B at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021. The first map was Train which was picked by Evil Geniuses. The first half was very competitive with G2 closing the half with an 8-7 lead. But in the second half, EG excelled with a 4-9 scoreline and clinched the map.

The second map was Vertigo which was picked by G2 Esports. G2 was well known for their consistent performance in Vertigo and it held true today as well. They took an impressive 10-5 lead on the first half from the CT side. The second half was close but G2 quickly got the 6 rounds they needed and won the map convincingly.

Nuke was the remaining map and was played as the 3rd map for the series. EG showed excellent performance on the T side with an impressive 11-4 lead at half time as well as an equally impressive performance on the CT side swiftly deciding the map.
