Epic Games servers are facing severe login issues. The company said they are investigating the cause.
Users need to log in to their Epic Games accounts to access games. These include games like Fortnite and Rocket League. The Epic accounts allow users to access almost all the games on the Epic Games store without making a different account for each game.
Back in 2020, Epic acquired Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League. Soon after Rocket League was made exclusive to the Epic Games store. Users could use their Epic accounts to play Rocket League for free. And Since the release of Fortnite, it has been playable through the Epic accounts.
But recently users were unable to login into their Epic accounts and this issue is preventing them from accessing the Epic Games store. Users are also not able to gain access to games like Fortnite and Rocket League because these games use the Epic Account credentials to grant access.
Epic’s Statement Regarding Login Issues:
Not long ago FortniteStatus on Twitter made a statement about the recent login issues regarding Epic Games accounts. The Tweet reads,
“We are investigating issues where logging into Epic Games accounts fails with the “Invalid Client” error and preventing from logging in to the game. We will update you when this issue is resolved”
Apparently, when trying to login to any Epic Games account it shows an “Invalid Client” error and is thus preventing users from accessing Epic’s services. Epic is currently actively investigating the login issues and is working to fix these issues.
We will revise this article with new information as soon as an update from Epic Games goes public.
