DreamHack Masters Spring 2021: How to watch, format, Groups and more

DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 is of the DreamHack series and sponsored by Intel. It is an Online tournament held in Europe. Here, 16 teams from the North American and European Qualifiers will fight it out for the $250,000 USD prize pool.

Tournament Format

This tournament will be held in two stages. The group stages will take place from April 29th to May 1st. There will be two double-elimination formats (GSL) groups. Each group has 8 teams with the initial matches being Best-of-1 and the following matches being best-of-3. The top 3 teams from each group advance to the Playoffs. From each group, the 1st place advances to the semifinals. The 2nd place advances to the Quarterfinals as High seeds and the 3rd place as the low seeds.

The second stage of the tournament is the Playoffs which will take place from May 7th to May 9th. It is a single-stage elimination bracket. The quarter-final and semi-final matches will be best-of-3 and the Grand finals will be best-of-5.

The 16 teams who have earned their spots from the North American and European qualifiers have been divided into two groups. They will be playing against each other in their respective groups to advance to the playoffs.

How to watch

The matches will be streamed and cast live on the Twitch channel: ESL CSGO
They will also be streamed live on their Youtube channel as well: DreamHack Counter-Strike

So the stage is set for yet another Counter-Strike Global Offensive major tournament where the best teams in the world will duke it out for a chance to earn the title. The games begin tomorrow, April 29th.
