Insider sources have claimed that BioWare is preparing Dragon Age 4 to release in 2023.
Dragon Age 4 was first teased on The Game Awards 2018. Now almost 3 years later, the devs are still silent. Hence, it is obvious that the game is still a long way till release.
Recent rumors regarding the game provide a release window for Dragon Age 4. Sources said to be familiar with Dragon Age 4’s developers have stated that the game will release in 2023. Although there are no official announcements from EA. In fact, they have denied having such fixed release dates. These sources made their claims in an interview with GamesBeat.

These delays and silence do not sit well with fans, as it has been way too long since gamers got a Dragon Age game. The last title is Dragon Age Inquisition, an excellent game itself. As years passed by we have seen EA releasing games with great ideas but botching it up after release. From Mass Effect Andromeda to Anthem. For gamers, the old glory days of epic single-player adventures had been long gone.
Recently we’ve seen EA putting out some quality single-player games. The perfect example being Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Furthermore, BioWare promised that the new upcoming Dragon Age will be narrative and character-focused. But words, especially in the gaming industry often fell short. Therefore gamers have to wait for some time and see for themselves whether Dragon Age is making a true comeback or will the game be a cash-grab.
But recent announcements indicate that EA is once again trying hard to bring back the glory days of diverse catalogs of single-player experiences.
The silence and slow progress of Dragon Age 4 are contributed by the fact that the development teams have seen shifts in leadership roles. Although in a 2019 earnings call, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen stated that the RPG title would not release any earlier than 2022. If these are source’s claims of Dragon Age 4 releasing in 2023 are true. The year would be one of the most hyped years for gamers.
